Why is Email Marketing So Important?

One of the best and effective ways you can market your business is to your already existing customers.

Once someone buys from you their is an established level of trust, and as long as you are offering quality products and service then you will keep that trust.  That is why staying in touch with your customers is so important to the strength of your business.

Email Marketing is a great way to do this.  Here are some tips on getting your customers to sign up for your email list or newsletter and keeping their interest.

  1. Offer them something fabulous for exchange of them signing up.  So it is a benefit to them and you.  An example would be a free book, or a discount coupon, or even a free product.  It has to be beneficial to them in order for them to be willing to give you their email.
  2. Be consistent with your emails–if your customer expects to receive you newsletter weekly–then make sure you deliver it weekly, or if you advertise a monthly discount code–make sure you send them the code each month.  Customers love when you follow through on what you are promising–that is how you build trust and respect for your business.
  3. Once they are on your list—do not try to sell to them everytime you send them a message.  Provide them with helpful information that they will benefit from.  Always give more then you take and go above and beyond what is expected and then you can’t go wrong.  Your customers will love you for it!
  4. Final tip is try not to be too long winded—nowadays everyone is busy, busy, busy and if you try to make your emails too long your customer won’t have time to read it let alone follow through into buying from you.

Work At Home Business Scams–How Do You Know?

When you first start out exploring your options for work at home business opportunities or jobs it can be very overwhelming.  How do you weed out the legitimate work at home offers from the scams?  That is a really good question and the only answer I can give you is due your research, research research!

Don’t get me wrong their are definately a lot of top notch business plans offered online for some outstanding businesses but the problem is there are just as many if not more offers that pretty much just take your money and offer mediocre advice and leave you more confused then you were when you started out.

My candid opinion and advice on this would be to develop your own business plan by learning as much as you can about your niche and finding low cost ways to get started.  There is always the option of finding a good business coach and joining a Mastermind Group also.  The more you learn the more your business will grow.

Check out my product reviews page when you get a chance.  I always give my candid opinion on the products I review and they are always products I have bought and tried out myself.  I don’t believe in wasting time or money so I won’t give a recommendation for something unless it is useful for your business.

Keyword Research and SEO

There are a few important basics that everyone should know when it comes to keyword research and search engine optimization for their website.  I wanted to  review a few of them here just to get you started out right with SEO.

Search engine optimization is probably the most important factor their is when it comes to making a website successful. Keyword research isn’t the only factor but it definately holds a lot of weight in getting targeted traffic to your website.  As we all know without targeted traffic your website won’t get too far.

So all that being said here are some of the key points to good keyword research for SEO.

  • Keyword Research—Good targeted keywords are essential when starting your SEO research.  If you optimize your site for the wrong keywords you will never see the results you are looking for. I use a website called http://www.seobook.com for my keyword research.  They have a free tool you can type your keywords into to see how many people are searching for your particular keyword on a daily basis.
  • Use longtail keywords when picking keywords to research and use.  Longtail means a keyword phrase instead of just one keyword.  This will help your keywords to be alot more targeted then just a general topic.  For an example–if someone wanted to learn how to bake a chocolate chip cake–they wouldn’t just type in chocolate cake for their search–they would most likely type in “how to bake a chocolate chip cake”.  So their search would be alot more targeted.
  • The general rule for keyword density in your blog posts, articles,  and/or product descriptions is 3-5%.  Meaning for every 100 words of your article you should use your keyword 3 -5 times.
  • Use <h1> header tags and place your keyword phrase within those tags.
  • Use your main keyword in the <title> tags of the website.
  • Use your keywords in your title of your blog posts and articles.
  • Bold some of your keywords throughout your copy.
  • Use <alt>image tags and place your keyword within the tag.
  • Place your keyword once at the beginning of your copy and once at the end of the copy.

Hopefully this will get you started out right when you start your keyword research and SEO for your website.
